"Deer" to my Heart!

You may remember that I showed you this beauty that Joe bought on Clearance at Wegman's for $25.00.....
Marked down from $75!!!

Apparently, at Christmas, Wegman's also had the matching Buck which sold for $79.99 and sold out.......

BUT....

Joe went to Wegman's the other day and found this!!!!!!
They must have found a box or 2 in the back that they forgot to put out and marked them down for a quick sale!!!!!
Do you see that price?????????
Yep!!!!

$20.00!!!

Joe could not resist this sweet face!!!
I LOVE them!!!

Here is where I put them out in the Front Yard......
I apologize for the Sun casting shadows but It has been a long Winter and we have not seen much Sun!!!
I am thrilled to have the matching pair!!
Update:

I was able to take these photos before we got a bit of rain.......
Don't they look so regal??????
I am NOT a fan of hunting these animals so I am NOT a fan of the new decorating trend of hanging Deer Heads on one's walls........

I would much rather see them this way.........
They are so "DEER" to my heart!!!

I will be sharing the rest of our Front Yard soon......

Spring Front Porch 2015

We have finally had some warmer weather here in NEPA!!

High's in the 60's!!

But Spring is still way behind schedule here in the Northeast........

I want to Thank The Tumbleweed Contessa and Joy Love Food for featuring my Post, What's Behind Door # 1? Pantry Closet Reveal , as the Most Viewed post from last week's What'd You Do This Weekend Party!!
Thanks so much, Ladies!!!

And I also want to Thank Brenda over at Cozy Little House for featuring my Post, New Garden Buys and Back Yard Update from last week's Tweak It Tuesday Party!
Thanks so much , Brenda!!

Please stop by to visit and link up to these great parties!!

With the onset of some nicer weather ,we were able though to do some yard work , clean up the Front Porch and put mulch down in the front of the house and down our front slope........

It is nice to see our Front Porch looking like this after such a long and cold Winter!!
You can see that I was able to put out my Garden Art and Solar Lights.......
And I did buy some new items.......

I thought an out door rug would dress the Front Porch up a bit........
But I could not find a rug that would fit the porch so I decided to go with 2 rugs.......
It was actually Joe's Idea....

Now I honestly did not want to spend a lot of money on the rugs as this Porch is not covered from the Elements .
These were a mere $10 each at Big Lots.........

And I also bought a matching smaller rug to place by the front door.......
 This was only $5!
If they only last a Season, I will not be too upset having paid little money for them.......
We got the furniture for the porch out of storage in our Storage Shed........
For now, I decided to use the striped side of the seat cushions.....
I bought the pillows at Wegman's  and the cushions at Lowe's last year......

I use Flameless Candles set on a Timer in the Lanterns........
Joe bought this Stepping Stone on Clearance at Wegman's at the end of the Season last year.......
I thought it was too pretty to put out in the yard........
Over in the corner.....
A solar light Angel.......
Joe and I are looking forward to spending time sitting on the Porch enjoying some nice weather!!
I am also looking forward to planting annuals in all my flower pots but that will not be until close to Memorial Day when we will finally be safe from Frost......

I have been really busy lately........

Here are some of the things that I have been doing besides working in the Front of the House......

Cleaning the back patio and re-arranging it......

Going through and getting rid of some garden things that did not survive the Winter......

Spray Painting some Garden Art pieces.......

Trimming Trees in the Back Yard.....

Going through and purging a lot of things from the Attic......

Re-arranging the Guest Room after purging some things that were in that room......

Returning the Powder Room to "normal" after packing away all the Winter Snow Buddy decorations.......

And WORKING FULL TIME!!!!!!!!!

I said I've been BUSY!!!!!!!

I hope you will come back when I share some new additions to our Front Yard to are really "DEER" to me.....

Our Den, Part 3

Today, I am sharing Part 3 of my Tour of our Den......

First, I want to Thank Laura, over at I'm Not a Trophy Wife for featuring my post,
New Garden Buys and Back Yard Update, from last week's Friday Favorites party!!
Thanks so much , Laura!

Please stop by to visit and link up to this great party!!

If you missed my post, Our Den, Part 1, where I shared my Red and Blue Transferware Collection,  please click HERE
If you missed Part 2, where I share this part of the Den, please click HERE
And if you missed when I shared What Is Behind Door # 1, My Pantry Closet, please click HERE
Today, I will be sharing this part of the Den.......
This wall was once open to the yard when we first bought our townhouse. My Dad originally enclosed it to make a patio but then I later had him make another room out of it.........
I took down the burgundy lace valances and ivory lace panels that were on the window for the Winter......
I had the ivory valance up in the attic that I used for the back door......

Did I mention that I cleaned and went through all my linens up in the attic and donated a good majority of curtains, tablecloths, bedspreads that I was saving for who knows what, to our Church Flea Market????????

I actually was able to clean out another section to use for Holiday decorations!!

Back to the curtains......

These lace curtains were stark white.
I bought them in Penney's many years ago and had once used them in our Bedroom.
I thought that they would look nice out here in the Den so I tea dyed them, giving them an ivory color.....
With the ivory shades pulled down......
It has been very dark and deary here with temps only in the high 40's to low 50's and rain showers for several days so please excuse the lighting in these photos.......
I like the way they look and will be perfect for the Summer..........

I almost had them in the donation box!!

Enough about these curtains........
By the door is a Thomas Kinkade Clock that came with plates of the 4 Seasons......
On the shelf underneath is a Home Interiors figurine......
The table was bought at a church flea market by Joe for $6.00 and  I painted it.....
One of Joe's Aunts gave us the stained glass lamp......
The figurines are also Home Interiors that I bought at another Church Flea market last Summer.....
This was a coaster that was given to all employees of the first Hospital where I worked when it closed and merged with another local Hospital to build a new hospital......
It has now been torn down.......

"Instant Relatives" as I like to call them, meaning photos bought at Estate Sales, Yard Sales and else where......
Next to the table is an ottoman bought on Clearance at Target many years ago along with a shutter bought for $1.00 at a yard sale......

Looking out into the Den from what used to be the Kitchen window......
I originally had only one shelf here but recently moved another one here so the "Denim Days' figurines from home Interiors could be seen better.......
The Thomas Kinkade plate is one of the 4 seasons ones from the clock that I showed you before......
These are some figurines from what was called the "Denim Days" Series .......

And over in this corner is the main computer in an armiore.
It had doors that you could close but I never had them closed so I took the doors off......
The top of the Computer Armiore.....
Where the 3 mirrors are on the wall in the corner was where I moved the one shelf of "Denim Days" figurines from.....
Both the Guardian Angel figurine and picture were Home Interiors products....
That is my Mother, Grandfather and Grandmother in the photo.....

You may remember in a previous post some time ago, I showed you how I added the trim to the lamp shade.....
And the Computer Armiore.......
Yes, that is my cup of Brew there!!

So that completes Part 3 of Our Den Tour..........
I will return soon with the last part of our Den Tour.......

Hopefully, we will have some sun by then.........
