I am a Victorian Soul, live in a small townhouse, not a huge Mega Mansion, with my Hubby Joe. I recently went Part Time after working full time night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 32 years and have been in nursing for 37 years!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

" IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO BE WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE BEEN"
George Eliot
George Eliot was actually a pen name for a woman named Mary Anne Evans......

My Country Victorian Vintage Kitchen, Part 2

Welcome to Part 2 of My Country Victorian Vintage Style Kitchen....

First, I need to THANK Heather, over at Stringtown Home, and all the other hosts of the Tips and Tricks Linky Party, for featuring my post, 37 Years of Marriage on a Gallery Wall,  as the Most Clicked on post from last week's party!!!
Thanks so much for this wonderful honor!!

Please stop by and link up to this great party!!!

I have finished cleaning, purging and re-organizing the Kitchen and I also did a bit of tweaking that I want to share with you......
If you missed Part 1, please click HERE........

This is pretty much the focal wall of my Kitchen.....
I love to display a lot of my antique and vintage style Kitchen wares on the shelves and in the hutch.....
My Dad made the shelves that are hung on each side of the Hutch out of scrap wood that he had.....

Let's take a look at the left side of the wall.......
A vintage looking hook on which I hung a vintage apron and a vintage style rug beater......
Cannisters, a Scale and a Meat Grinder like my Mom's find a home on this shelf.......
My Mom's grinder was too big to attach to the shelf so I used this smaller one instead....

When we did have a working land line phone through the Phone Company, this reproduction phone did work!!
This  " A Guide to a Housewife's Worth" plaque is a new piece for me.......
Normally, something like this would make my skin crawl but it is from a beloved neighbor's home and it does make me chuckle!!!
Apparently, those hourly rates are from a very long time ago!!!

The side of the hutch......
I bought a few of these cute handles at a yard sale because of the colors even though there was only 3 of them.......
So I use them as knobs to hang things off of!!

I even decorated the floor area on the side of the hutch!
More vintage goodness!!
This piece is actually a French Provincial bedroom set's hutch married with a desk.

I have had this in my Kitchen for about 10-15 years!!
 The top of the hutch.....
  Top shelf.....

  Bottom shelf....

Notice that I have added 2 of my recently acquired vintage canning jars to the shelves.....
Since it is still Summer, the desk area is decorated with a bit of a strawberry theme......
Still have a bit of a candy bar......
A Strawberry Tea Set and a vintage strawberry tray.....
Some faux goodies......
A canning jar lamp with a vintage shade bought at a Thrift Store......
I have a battery operated Puck Light here too that shines light down if I do not want to use the lamp....
Yes, I decorated under the desk!!
The copper lantern was a flea market find and I simply placed it on top of a welcome candle.......
I did the arrangement in a tea pot that I was no longer using.......
The vintage picnic basket stores Kitchen decor pieces that I am not using right now.......
The milk bottle is from a dairy that is actually still in operation......

Now let's take a look at the other side of the wall.......
The other side of the hutch were I disguise the wires from the candle lights that are on the shelves with vintage pot holders and aprons.......
The other shelf that my Dad made......
More vintage items including a Planter's Peanut Man because the company was founded here in Wilkes Barre, Pa.
A yellow ware bowl holds wooden apples.......
A vintage style hook where I hung a vintage apron.......
I have to have a bit of Victorian charm in every room.......
Below the chair rail.......
A rug beater and mason jar hung on another vintage style hook..........
This is a tray that I painted and my feeble attempt at Chalkboard Art!!!
You DO understand that I am asking Joe what is cooking because I so HATE to cook!!

Ha Ha!!

And I so love my floors that we had installed a few years ago because they add to the Country Victorian Vintage look of the Kitchen!!
I mentioned that I have candle lights on the shelves and this is why........
I LOVE the glow at night!!!
If warms my heart and soul........
Soon I will be sharing the final part of my series on My Country Victorian Vintage Kitchen!!
So I hope you will come by and visit  again!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

Hugs,
Debbie
