HAPPY BLUE MONDAY!!

HAPPY BLUE MONDAY!!

I have been missing for a few weeks because of too many things to do and not enough time to do them.
But finally, life has calmed down again.....for awhile.

Please visit our wonderful hostess ,Sally, @ www.smilingsally.blogspot.com to see all the great BLUES for this week.

A few weeks back, I posted a pic of a great Lady's head vase and teased you all with the comment "Wait until you see how I dress her up". Please click here to see the before pic.

And here she is now........

I gave her a fashionable summer straw hat to wear.

And added a pretty lace collar with some ribbon flowers and a pink bow.

She is also wearing a lovely pearl brooch....

She is all ready to go out for Tea with her friends......

And here is my hubby, Joe, dressed in his BLUE Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins Hockey Jersey
outside the Moheghan Sun Arena. The Caulder Cup made a trip to our arena and being a die hard hockey fan and season ticket holder to the Pittsburgh Penguins AHL team, He had to pose by the Caulder Cup.
Now as many of you know, Pittsburgh's colors are Black and Gold but originally , a very long time ago, they were Blue and White, hence the jersey.

Joe gets a new jersey every time I buy a lamp.
Did I ever tell you how many hockey jersey's he has???
Did I ever mention that I have a thing for lamps???

Thanks for stopping by today and every day that you take to time to visit me!!

Hugs,
Debbie

Hello! Cute little lady, wearing her spring outfit!
I'm glad you found the post with pics of my house. I was binge-blogging that day to make up for several days where I was busy...so I didn't even think about it that some folks might have missed some of my posts!

Debbie...You little lady is so cute...love the blue toruches. And adore her hat.

My husband was born in Canada.
( now an American citizen )...and a HOCKEY fan too...we use to go to the games in Indianapolis... and I remember when Wayne Gretzky was only 17 years old ...and on the team there. ( LONG time ago)

OH thank you SO MUCH for telling me about the CORRECT blog for that flea market post.
It of course would have driven me a bit crazier not to find it.

Hi Debbie,

Thanks for stopping by Hospitality Lane!

My Mother-in-law has one of these in her bathroom. I always looked at it a bit funny. Never sure if I liked it or not. However, I do like what you have done with yours.

Did you notice the Blog meet at Longwood Gardens that is in the works? If not check back...it is at the top of my sidebar. It looks like it will happen in June.
We would love to have you and your husband join us.

Oh Debbie!! Love to hear I'm among friends when it comes to "collecting" various treasures!! I don't collect lamps YET, but I DO love head vases! I keep my eyes open for them, but I only have two. Still I'm happy to have them. They are so sweet! LOVE how you've dressed yours up!! Happy Blue Monday! ~tina

You did a great job on your little lady, she looks very springified and ready to go. Lord if my Hubby bought a new Ole Miss Jersey (his favorite baseball team) every time a bought a special items(Hall's teapots)...that I have a weakness for, I'd be in big trouble, my clothes would be outside for lack of room in the closet...lol..
Hope you have a great Blue Monday
Molly

If you like lamps as much as I do, your hubby must own ALOT of jerseys!

We love ice hockey too! My son played on a traveling team for 5 years and it was great family fun. I was so depressed when he aged out and decided not to play anymore. It was a wonderful time in our life and alot of fun.

From one RN to another, Happy Blue Monday!
