Good Morning Debbie Sweetie...
What a beautiful way to start off the New Year. Choosing a word to live by. Happy is a beautiful word for you my sweet friend. You make my heart "Happy" every time I stop over to visit. You share of your heart and your soul, and this makes me very "Happy". Thank you for sharing with me in 2010 and I can't wait for 2011. Is going to be the BEST ever.

I will have to think about it, and I too will choose a word for myself. Thank you and your friend, Robyn, for the precious idea.

Happy New Year and much love, Sherry

Hi Debbie,
I love your word. I read Robin's post earlier. I have never done that but I think if I chose a word for the new year it would be trust. Life brings so many trials sometimes and I have to remind myself to trust. We are in God's keeping. I am happy I found your blog. It has brought so much joy to me just looking at the pictures of your beautiful home. Your header picture is a favorite. Your home is better than any magazine. Have you ever submitted pictures to Country Victorian? I am so happy I met you through your blog and I look forward to knowing you better in 2011. Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs!

Debbie, nice post and for the time that I have been reading your blogs you certainly sound like a happy person to me. I am cheating this year and picking 2 words. The 1st word being "content". I will be content to have what I have, to be where I am, to be who I am, and my family is all I need to be content. My 2nd word is "reactions". I am in control of my actions but sometimes my REACTIONS need a muffler, so I will be more mindful of that. Crazy word huh? Debbie (Maine)

Debbie, we had the same idea to choose a word for 2011, though we chose different words. I enjoyed your word happy and your photos; my word is on my blog today. Happy 2011. Terra

Dear Debbie,

What an inspiring post!! This has definitely given me something to think about.I loved your post so very much. Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving your kind words. Crafts and art are a big part of my life right now. I worked for so many years as a paralegal and when I stopped working, well low and behold I have all this time. I always loved to sew, quilt, make jewelry and cross stitch, but now I've learned how to draw and paint too. There are blessings in everything if we just look really really hard sometimes. Have a wonderfully HAPPY New Year.
Hugs, LisaKay

What a sweet and inspirational post, Debbie. I try to remember to live by a sentiment I once saw on a Pilsbury ad, "Celebrate EVERY day!" Think I may put that on a sign that I can see EVERY day. :)

Wishing you a blessed and happy New Year!

Hi Debbie....I do enjoy visiting you. Your idea of choosing a word for the new year is a good one, and HAPPY is a perfect word. I have believed we have a responsibility to be happy because our world, our friends, our neighbors need it. Good idea.
My husband and I decided to sell our house and moved into an apartment last summer. There is not much room to keep things in an apartment. And today is the day we take down our Christmas tree. I think it's nice how you have yours up all the time...as I've seen, anyway...and I am wondering about keeping mine up as a decorative piece. We could make it a Valentine tree next and then an Easter Egg tree..............Is this how you started your amazing collection? Anyway, your flair for decorating far exceeds mine, so I don't know if I should start something like this or nor. But thought I would let you know you have fans who would love to emulate your style. Have a Happy New Year..and do be Happy.

Nice post, Debbie! "Happy" is a great thing to aspire to be. The word for my workroom is on my blog today: DE-CLUTTER! As for myself, my word for this year is "abandon" -- in the noun form -- meaning 1) unbounded enthusiasm; exuberance and 2)a complete surrender of inhibitions. I want to meet life head-on this year. (Hope it's not a train wreck, haha!) Happy New Year and God's richest blessings to you and yours!
