I'M BACK!

I'm back!

Have you ever felt that your life was spinning out of control????
Well, that was me last week and I had a total melt down!
I returned to work after vacation and worked Mon., Tues. and Wed. , only had Thurs. night off and then worked Fri., Sat. and Sun. I am finally off Monday and Tuesday nights!

Last week I had to finish up some painting projects I started while I was off for vacation, made 5 wreaths and more goodies which you will see shortly, for my new vendor space at the Market Place, worked up at the flea market garage ( I run our church's biannual flea market) and tried to get something together with our sons for Father's Day and had a total hair makeover yesterday!!!

Friday came along and I was totally exhausted and even though I had committed to participate in last week's Pink Saturday and Where Bloggers Create, I just could not find the time to First, clean my Craft/Sewing Room and Second, actually do the post. So I had to drop out of those parties much to my dismay! But it was an attempt to keep my sanity!

If you would like to see my Craft/Sewing Room, please click on the link to the photo album on the sidebar or click HERE

Also, Since it is summer and there are so many things to do , I do need to cut back on my posts because spare time is almost nonexistent for me right now.
SO I will be linking one or two posts per week to a whole bunch of different parties and I will TRY to visit everyone throughout the week. PLEASE understand!!!

So here are the parties that I am linking up to with this post and for more info, the links to these parties are on my sidebar.

TEA CUP TUESDAY

TEA TIME TUESDAY

GARAGE SALEN PARTAY

SHOW AND TELL FRIDAY

PINK SATURDAY

Here is a sweet little tea cup that I actually cannot remember what I paid for it at a flea market
in Danville, Pa.

I fell in love with it because of the figures on both the cup and the saucer.

It also has that lusterware shine!

Love the cute rose inside of the cup!

Just love that couple!!

There are no markings on the bottom of the cup nor the saucer!

Now I want to show you my first attempt at painting metal.
This was the very first piece I ever bought at a yard sale many years ago and I paid $5.00 for this brass candleabar ( spelling??)

I thought it was in need of a redo so I dabbled with some pink paint a bit and also added some crystals that I had.....

My last post I showed you a darling plant stand that I bought at a church flea market for $5.00. Here it is painted yellow....
I need to add some garden pretties and some potted plants to it.

Here is where I decided it would find a home.....

The little side table was also a flea market find. It was green and I used Valspar Plastic paint to paint it white.
So now I think I am finished with my little patio....
Maybe......

Here is one side of my little yard....

And the other side.....

I won several giveaways.... I know, I know.... hubby Joe insists that even though he is the mail man, I am the one who stepped in something.....

I won Jennifer's Memorial Day Giveaway over at Just Coffee Please
Thanks so much!!! I know I will have fun with all of these goodies!!

And I won another great Giveaway from Mary over @ Rose Brook Cottage

I won the sweet pedestal dish and the gorgeous candle!!!

I added a little dome to the beautiful pedestal dish and some faux pastries....
I just love my gifts from Mary!!! Thanks so much!!

When I decided to rent a vendor space at a new shop in town, it was a spur of the moment decision even though it has been my dream for a long time. I really did not have much inventory left from previous Craft Fairs but I put everything I had in my new space.

Now I have started to make more items.....

Mauvey Rose is my signature colors because of my Victorian Style.....

I used the beautiful ivory venice rose lace that I bought last week from the Lace Guy!!

I will be taking these gooodies down to my space tomorrow..

After I finish the matching hand mirror....

Okay, so that is it for me for this week!!
I will try to get to visit everyone from the different parties that I am joining but PLEASE keep in mind that I will be doing it over the next week!!!

Thanks for stopping by today and everyday that you take the time to visit me!!!

Debbie

LAST WEEKEND'S TREASURE FINDS!!

I am linking this post to :

Garage Salen Partay over @ Debbie Doos

and

Show and Tell Friday over @ My Romantic Home

Please take a moment to visit everyone who is playing along with these parties today!!

I thought I would start out by showing you where some of the great things I picked up at yard sales 2 weeks ago found a "home"!

Remember my parasol planters??
Well, here are 2 of them in my guest room and the other one, I gave to my friend, Ann Marie.

The Victorian Boot Floral Arrangement is right at home in my Dining Room!

All the red transferware from a few weeks ago is in my China cabinet out in my Den.....

And remember those 2 sweet dolls I bought for $2.00 each????

Here is one in my Den and she matches my Lamp Shade, doesn't she?

And the other one is sitting on my chair in my Living Room....

Also remember I mentioned about meeting the guy at the Hometown Flea Market who had a place in Scranton where he sold Lace and Fabric? Well, we took the 20 minute drive up there last Saturday and here is what his place looks like in Scranton.

Did you see all of that lace and trim??? Most is $1.00 a yard!!!

And here are some more pics of all of his goodies....

Check out that fabric.....

We also went to a local Church Flea Market and I bought these 2 panels and 2 valances for $2.00!!!!!!! Do you see the chenille fringe on those valances?????

And look at how well they go with my Living Room furniture. That is the matching pillow from my sofa. They will be hung in the Living Room in the Fall/Winter.

Then to top it off, they had the same curtains and valances in this lovely shade of Rose!!!!

I bought a total of 6 panels and 5 valances for $5.50 in this shade. I will be using these in the Dining Room and one set in the guest room. I love the cameo design in the silky fabric!!

And this great plant stand for $5.00! It already has it's first coat of yellow paint on it to match the other things that I have painted yellow out in the back yard and patio.

So I think I did pretty well over the last 2 weeks finding some great treasures!!

Thanks for stopping by today and every day that you take the time to visit me!!

Hugs,
Debbie

WHAT I DID WHILE ON VACATION!!!!!

WARNING!! LONG POST WITH LOTS OF PHOTOS!!!!!!!

Hello, everyone!!
I am back to blogging after a week off while on vacation from work! I go back to work tonight!!
BOO HOO!!

We passed this great Diner in our travels, Perfect for BLUE MONDAY!!

In case you missed it, if you scroll down to the post below, you will see a great flea market that hubby, Joe and I went to and some of my treasure finds from 2 weekends ago.

I was also busy crafting...............

And made this little creation which I am calling a cup cushion.
I have been inspired by so many crafters out there in Blogland!!!

It is a demitasse cup set with a base of a candlestick..... Perfect for Tea Cup and Tea Time Tuesday!

And I painted a vintage mirror tray pink.........

Added some pretty lace and ribbon flowers.....

Then I painted a wooden carousel horse.......

Added trim, ribbons, flowers......

And sprinkled it with mica........

And yes, I painted the silver tray cottage white that is underneath the horse!!

Now you ask, what am I going to do with these creations???????

I have crafted my entire life, since I was a little girl.

My dream has always been to have my own "shop". But because of working full time in a profession where I have to work every other weekend, I needed to find something that would fit into my schedule.

Hubby, Joe read in the newspaper about a new shop opening down the road from where we live, 5 minutes away.

Lark Mountain Market Place!!

So we inquired and YES!!!! They were accepting Crafters and NO, I did not have to be there, they would be the ones running the shop!!!
Location is everything and it is located across from 2 supermarkets, Home Depot is down the road and Appleby's is across the street and is 5 minutes from the busiest shopping district in my area and the Moghegan Sun Arena!!

SO......................

My dream has come true!!!!!!!

Here is my little 6' x 6' space in Lark Mountain Market Place!!!

It is in a newly remodeled building.......

The owners , which are 4 women who are antique dealers, flea market vendors and crafters, felt that my Victorian elegant style crafts would fit in nicely with the Antiques and Collectibles.
Thank you to Nadine, Barb, Sandy and Fran!!!!

They have more vendors moving in.....

With the shelf units, I managed to fit quite a bit in my space!

So please wish me luck!!!!

To see more photos of LARK MOUNTAIN MARKET PLACE please click here
or on the link to a Photo Album of the shop on my Side Bar!!

We also painted the back wall of our house....

I just had to show you this darling butterfly......

A great photo for Mellow Yellow Monday!!

As you know, I live in a townhouse with a really small back yard.

This is our little patio in the back.......

The backs of our houses were painted dark brown when we bought it in the late 70's.
It is very hot in the back because it gets the sun all day so I painted the back a lighter shade several years ago. You cannot see the back of our houses from the road.

Our house is 20' wide so this is one side of my patio.

Above is a planter stand that I painted yellow after being inspired by Debbie Doos when she showed some of the things in her garden that she painted yellow.

Yes, my walls are filled in the house and I even have to hang things on the walls outside too!!

You can see the original brown in the photo! Yuck!!

This is the other side of the patio....

Okay, the reason why we ripped off the carpet that was on the concrete was our sweet Savanna!

She is such a pampered pooch that when it rains, she does not want to get her little paws wet so she does her business on the concrete patio block!!!!! You understand why a carpet would not survive there!!
Some day I hope to do some faux painting to make the concrete look like brick and match the paver extension to the patio that I laid this spring.

We don't have central air so we have 2 air conditioners which keep the entire downstairs nice and cool.

My new cushions for my wicker chairs have yellow in them.....

My annuals are just starting to fill in....

Below, on the right, is the sweet birdhouse that I won in a giveaway over at
Thoughts from Meme's Corner a few weeks ago!! LaVoice is just one of the sweetest gals that I have met in Blogland!!

This plaque was originally all gray so I decided to "dabble" a bit with some paints!

All this bistro chair was a yard sale find several years ago and it also received a coat of yellow paint!!

That is a candle holder that you see on the side of the bistro chair. I put a small pot on top over the spike for the candle. It is now filled with some hens and chicks ( plants).

Check out the mail man wind chime!!

Yes, hubby, Joe, is a mail man!!!

I also decided to paint these rose plaques which were also a gray color!

I made the wreath for my back door!

More of my pots filled with annuals.
