AUTUMN IS IN THE AIR...........ALONG WITH A LOT OF RAIN!!!

HAPPY AUTUMN!!!!

I have been decorating.....

and decorating...

and DECORATING!!!!!

I wanted to be able to show you my Fall / Autumn decorations in the front of our home and I was waiting for a beautiful sunny day to take those pictures. We had one of those last week in between bouts of torrential rain storms.....
And it looks like it may not be until next week before the sun shines here again so I ran out between rain and thunder storms and took some pictures......

It pretty much rained off and on all last week and now over the past few days , we have been getting 2-3 inches of rain at a clip causing flooding issues in areas that were flooded several weeks ago.

Such heart ache for people who just finished cleaning mud out of their basements and first floor only to have flood waters come again from creeks and streams.... Sam Champion on Good Morning America even commented on the repeat flooding in Luzerne County ( my county) in Pa.

My heart goes out to all victims of all natural disasters.....

Guns and Roses????? They are coming to the arena right by us and being the rocker that I am ( did that surprise you?) , I was lucky to score tickets for Joe, myself and our oldest son today when they had the internet pre sale! My son Joey is thrilled!!

This is the front of our home decorated for Autumn/Fall....

The Wreath I made several years ago.....

A Jack o Lantern and an Autumn sign.......

The weeping mortar on the front of our townhouse allows me to hang things......

Yes, I forgot to take Joe's ash tray out of the pictures......

One of 3 Fall flags that I have. I change them through out the season....

A Fall vignette on the table....

I have been waiting for it to stop raining so I can plants these mums in my pots......

The front flower bed under the Living Room window.....
It rained so hard last night that it knocked the extension off the rain gutter flooding this flower bed....

A little wagon that I bought at The Christmas Tree Shop several years ago....
All pumpkins and gourds are fake!!
I use them every year....

A Fall flag that can be seen on both sides....

Then I moved in the house and I started with my Fall/Autumn tree in the Living Room.....

I always have at least one tree up for every season. This tree was an Easter tree, then a Patriotic tree and now an Autumn tree.

I added a set of 100 orange lights and a set of wired pumpkin lights.

To be different , I used green ribbon with copper colored leaves to make the bow out of...

Who says that there are no ornaments for other Holidays?????

The pumpkins were bought at Big Lots and the green acorns were from Pier One several years ago.....

These copper and burgundy colored balls were bought at Micheal's last Christmas season....

Along with 2 packs of these pretty leaf ornaments.....

These are little scarecrow bells.....

The silver leaf and pine cone ornaments are from Target ,bought at the after Christmas sale.

The other ornaments were picked up at little shops over the years.....

Here they all are on the tree......

Then I added some silk mums and Fall leaves to the tree.....

And it was finished...

Here it is at night. I love the orange glow.....

Then I decorated the base of the tree....

All finished......

Now I will take you on a tour of my Living Room which I decorated more for Autumn.

In my next post, I will show you my Dining Room which I decorated for Halloween!!

This is my hutch at night....

A Fall candle ring and a Harvest Time pumpkin that Joe bought on Clearance at a local department store for 99 cents!

I added some Fall leaves with glittered tips to the greenery above my curio....

An Harvest plaque on the mirror in the Hall way to the kitchen....

A Fall swag in the hall way......

One wall in the Living Room......

I added some grapevine balls, pumpkins and leaves to a crystal bowl. I was going to keep it on this ottoman but I realized that it would spend more time on the floor rather than on the ottoman.....LOL!!

So I moved it to the bottom shelf of the wash stand.....

Remember this Jack o lantern that I bought at our church Flea market.....

Here it is all lit up at night.....

Another Wreath that I made on my fake window....

Yes, we still have our air conditioners in as it has been very warm and muggy with all the rain we have been having....
I am really looking forward to Fall weather if it ever decides to get here and stay here....

Here is the Autumn tree again.....

A pumpkin that I spray painted copper and glittered last year along with my Fall bears.....

Gourds in a carnival glass bowl.....

More pumpkins....

A Harvest sign....

Looking towards the front door.....

My Autumn Village.....

Some pieces are from JoAnn's Fabrics and some are from the Christmas Tree Shop.....

The inside scenes light up.....

All lit up at night.....

More pumpkins.....

The ceramic pumpkins are from the Dollar Store...

An orange tea cup....

A different type of arrangement in a vase on a plant stand by the front door.....

And that is my Living Room decorated for Fall/ Autumn!!

Hi Debbie! My gosh, everything looks beautiful! LOVE your Fall Tree!! And oh, those little bears! So CUTE!!.. I've been too busy to decorate so far.. just a few little things here and there, but I hope to get more done on Saturday. Originally, I was only going to decorate only for "Fall", but the time just whips right by me so FAST lately, my head spins!.. And so I guess I might just get ALL of it, Fall AND Halloween, out and up at the same time, and Dear Son will love it, I KNOW! As always, it's a pleasure stopping by! ((hugs)) ~tina

Oh no, it happened again! Debbie, I posted a comment and it disappeared on me. This has been happening a lot the past two days. I'll try again.
I like your Fall tree and the outside looks great. I can't decorate the outside of our home because it is too windy. Everything would be blown off within minutes. I do well to keep a wreath on the front door. I'm glad you can decorate to your heart's content. Have a beautiful weekend, my friend.

Blessings,
Sandi

Everything is just beautiful. You always make every holiday something special at your home. I know Joe appreciates all you do to make your holidays special. And I love looking at all you do. So sorry for all the people devastated again by flooding. Have a good weekend. I am on a stay cation this week and I'm loving it.

Hi Deb! Blogger ate my first comment so trying again. How did you know I needed a home tour to look at? When I see your rooms, I just want to come over and see it all in person! so many pretty things to see and they all look so pretty together. I love your walls and all the vignettes. That pumpkin you spray painted is a favorite and my favorite ornaments are the scarecrow bells, they are so cute. I did get my pumpkins and my silk fall leaves and things out last night but haven't arranged anything yet. Your pretty rooms and decorations sure do inspire me to get moving. I oculd never match your touch though. I hope the rains stop there. We have had rain off and on here everyday but no flooding. Light, drizzly, pesky rain mostly, enough just to prevent things drying out enough for outside things. I enjoyed the tour so much. I'll be back as always to ooh and aah again! Hugs dear friend!

Hi Debbie, So happy to have you come to visit. The outside of your home is so FALL, so nice. Then you took us inside......I am just amazed at what you do inside your home. While I may be the only person who loves Fall outside, pumpkin stands, apples, foliage etc etc, I never decorate inside except a lighted pumpkin in the window. This is due to the warm weather here on the Gulf Coast in Oct, so heading to NC for half of Oct to see real Fall. Oh yes, as I was saying, while I don't decorate inside, I love to come visit you and see what you have done. Love how you manage to combine such a Victorian home with Fall/halloween scenario's and make it look like it should be in a magazine. Have you ever been featured in one? Your creative touch is truly amazing, not to mention your boundless energy. Thank you for todays tour of your lovely home. Hope you are and Joe and son enjoyed the concert. Guns and Roses are not bad at all. Yes, I know who they are and what they sound like, lol. Hugs, Lynn
PS forgot to say, love the village. Was in Michaels the other day and saw one. Now that would make me decorate inside for Fall. Love it at night. Thanks for the belated birthday wishes. It was lovely. 65 is fantastic and with my new improved hubby, lol (new knee) we are on the lookout for beginner hiking in NC this month.

Hi Debbie,
As usual everything looks so beautiful!! I love your fall wreaths that you made. I remembered this year that I was going to make one for myself (I have Halloween wreaths but NO fall wreaths) last year when everything at Michael's went on clearance, but I forgot!!
I adore your autumn tree too! How lovely it looks, especially all lit up!!!

Hi Debbie,
One word, MAGNIFICENT! Your Autumn home is gorgeous. I love your tree and all the details and vignettes. Your collection is simply marvelous and I love that you can hang your treasures on the mortar of the brick. So wonderful to do that.
I bet you home is so cozy with the glow of the decorations at night.

Thank you for coming over today. So great to see you. I hope your rains stop soon or if you can, send some our way. We sure could use the rain here. Still a bit warm, but we are hopeful for cooler days soon

Have a great week and fun at the concert.

Wow is all I can say. I just love how everything is done. Love your village. I think maybe tomorrow when I pick up my grandaughter in Jackson I am going to have to drive over to Michael's and see if they have a village there. And the tree is just beautiful. Loved all the ornaments. And I too love the orange glow. We love sitting with just our tree on in the fall. The orange glow is so pretty. I also do orange lights in my kitchen window .

I have been working on neck scrunghies for my dogs color so they can be dressed for fall too. LOL

Am glad that I have mine all up. Got a call this morning and are doing an early Thanksgiving. First Sunday in November while my Grandson is on leave. He is afraid he will not be able to be home for Thanksgiving or Christmas. He will get in that Sat. and is planning on getting married while home. So early November will be busy for us. May have Halloween up till after he goes home.

Hope that you are feeling better.

Hugs, Karan
