LAST GLIMPSES OF FALL AND HALLOWEEN!!!

Happy Halloween!!

Edition:
Nope!!

This is not a picture from last year.
This was taken this afternoon on 10/29 and we have had much more snow now than this picture shows!! More pics will be coming up in my next post of our Halloween snow storm!!

I am wishing everyone a Happy Halloween because this will be my last post before Halloween!!

Next week, I will be sharing with you some photos of my Fall Get Together that we are having on Sunday afternoon with a few of our friends!!

But as for now, Halloween is less than a week away.

The leaves here are still hanging onto the trees for dear life but soon the trees will be bare....

There is snow flurries in a forecast for the end of the week.......

So I thought I would share a few last glimpses of Fall with all of you......

First, let me show you 2 tea cups that I put out for the Autumn season.

Many of you saw them last year but I have so many new followers ( over 300, I would have never imagined!! Thank you so much!) that I thought I would share them again.

This is a sweet little tea cup that I bought a few years ago at The Christmas Tree Shop. The reddish orange color is perfect for this time of year....

I have it displayed on one of my tables in the Living Room.....

Remember the Yankee Candle Pumpkin Men I have been showing you that Joe bought for me using his comp points at the casino?

Well, on Sunday, he came home with one more but she is a Pumpkin Lady Witch and not a Pumpkin Man!!
Here she is flying on her broom!!

She has now found a place on top of my hutch in the Dining Room!

Here are all 3 of them together with my haunted house which is 33 years old.....

Since I had to make room for the Pumpkin People on top of the hutch, I moved my ghosts into the Kitchen......

I like them here on the Candy Bar.....

And that brings me to my 2nd tea cup which was a Flea Market find.

Again, the perfect color for the season........

I have filled this one with lollipops.....

Can you see the heart shape of the saucer????

And the tea cup?????

I was going through some of my craft items , getting ready for Craft Fairs that I will be doing and decided to bring this little Autumn Welcome bucket ,that I did an arrangement in, home with me.

I really like how it looks here on my stove...

I added a few Red Mums to it to blend better in the Kitchen.....

I know I have shown you this vignette before at the base of my Fall Tree in the Living Room but I added the pot on the far right....

When we packed away all of the Garden and Patio decor, I decided to bring this pot inside .

I plunked down this ceramic pumpkin in it and added some raffia.

I thought it was too pretty to pack away...
It is actually quite a heavy little thing....

Next I want to just share some Fall Glitter and Glow from inside the house.....

Love the glitter on that pumpkin at night with the lights of the tree....

More glitter.........

Shimmery orange ribbon......

Frosted pumpkins in an amber glass compote.....

Bits and Pieces of Fall in a Apothecary Jar....

Glitter on pumpkin leaves....

Peach colored crystals on a vase.....

And the colors and glow of Mother Nature outside around our home.....

Oranges...

Reds....

Yellows.....

Our Fall Foliage here in the Pocono Mountains of Penna. is not a brilliant as other years because of all the rain we have had.......

Have I ever mentioned that I live at the base of a mountain range.....

These are the woods on one side of our development. I am standing at the top of the hill looking down. You can see glimpses of the roof tops of my townhouse development.

Unfortunately, the clouds rolled in but you can still see the colors on the mountain....

This is our view every day when we are coming home....

This was taken at the top of our road looking down on our townhouses.

Interstate 81 is right behind us and then the mountain......

You can also see a lot of rock on the Mountain....

This is the entrance road to our home.

We have to drive through an Apartment complex before we come to our 72 home townhouse development called Summit Place..
This apartment complex is where both of my sons live.
Joey, my oldest son lives in one of the apartments that you see in this picture.

Jimmy lives with his girlfriend, Danielle, in a townhouse in the apartment complex.
They rent, we own our home.

I guess the apples didn't fall far from the tree!!

Beautiful mums......

Speaking of mums, mine are doing okay. I put the middle one in a planter that I
got from our church flea market....

This is a bush in my neighbor's yard....

And daisies in the same neighbor's yard....

This is in one of my neighbor's yards behind me......

From my yard looking up to the woods.....

A few posts ago, I showed you my cone flower trying to bloom. It did succeed!!

I still have foxgloves blooming even after a frost.....

They were knocked down by heavy rain.....

And this is the tree that I see from my front porch and front windows.
It is in my neighbor's yard across from us. It is just starting to turn and will be ablaze with color soon......

Now for a bit of the real stuff that I promised to let you all know about from time to time.

Many of you have asked how I am feeling. Well, with the heat of the summer gone, my ankles and feet are no longer swollen and they feel better.
But with the colder weather comes more arthritic problems with my joints. My right knee is becoming a problem and I have been having a lot of Sciatica pain down my right leg from my back. But things could be worse and for that , I am grateful that they are not worse.

I have no symptoms from the abdominal hernia so I hope to be able to hold surgery off for quite a bit.
I still have a lot of fatigue but I do work full time night shift and I average only about 5 hours of a split sleep on the days when I am working. Luckily, I never was much of a sleeper!! LOL!!

So that is my reality for now...

Thanks you so much for your concern!

Oh....one more thing.....

While my entire downstairs is decorated for Fall and Halloween, my entire upstairs has been decorated for Christmas!!!

Yep, you are reading this right!!

5 trees up so far....

With 14 trees that I decorated last year, I HAVE to start early.....

So I guess I am not that tired after all..... LOL!!

Debbie, I love the sparkle of your pumpkin tree! Your mums are looking a lot better than mine. They look lovely.
Love the teacups! The red one would be nice at Christmastime too and the orange heart teacup is adorable! Have fun on the weekend and I'm glad you're you're feeling a little better. Thank you for joining me for Tea Time and take care. I guess it won't be long and you'll be going to the yearly Christmas concert with the T.S. Orchestra.

First, I'm sorry about the sciatica. I know how painful that can be. Your foliage pictures are gorgeous. But my favorite of all is that orange heart teacup and saucer. How did you ever find something like that? I love orange and would definitely have scooped that up.

Cass @ That Old House said...

Wow, Debbie -- you do amazing Halloween displays. I love your new witch gal; she's adorable ... great smile! :-P

Our color on the trees in NJ isn't as rich either this year; some leaves are just falling still green!

Sciatica is no fun; I wish you many more good days than bad... and get some sleep! Your body heals when you are snoring.

Take care, and in honor of Halloween ... BOO!

Debbie , everything just looks so nice. Love both teacups but an very partial to the orange one. Have never seen one like it or even near like it.

Colors here in Michigan and about gone for the year. Had bad winds. In fact we have lost 2 trees this fall with wind.

Will be looking forward to seeing your trees this year.

Am trying to figure out a theme that will not cost me an arm and leg for the Senior Center main tree. They asked me to do one of the trees. They are having a tree decorating contest this year.

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. At least in so me ways

Hugs,
Karan

Pretty, pretty, pretty! Adorable christmas tea cup and love the kitchen ghosts. The heart pumpkin tea cup is so fun, what a fun piece. Pumpkins in pots have to be my favorite decor combo. The trees outside are lovely and the sparkle inside adds a wonderful feel. You have outdone yourself! Beautiful.

My goodness, but you did go out with a bang!!! Question...HOW on earth did you find so many "meme's" to join? And..how on earth do you visit everyone back that visits you. I have the worst time.. :)
Lots of pretty and interesting things to look at on this post.

Even though you think you don't have much Fall color..it is certainly a LOT more than we get out here in Southern California!
Bleak. That's what it's like here. It suddenly poured rain today. I DO MEAN POURED! The sun was shining and it was a deluge for at least ten minutes. Very strange. Your lady pumpkin is so cute...she has a good home.
Have a wonderful Halloween!
Hugs,
Mona

My word, that's some tree decorating! All power to your elbow, as they say in Ireland.

Happy Pink Saturday and thanks for visiting me - and apologies for being so late to visit in return, I'm afraid I haven't been too well.
