Pink Valentine's Decor, Trees # 2 and 3 and A Celebration!

I know I promised you details of my Blog Anniversary Giveaway today since yesterday, Jan. 28 was the one year anniversary of when I created Debbie-Dabble.

Unfortunately, the last few days have been very busy and I have not been able to find the time to devote to the special post and giveaway in celebration of my Blog Anniversary that I wanted to so I am delaying one week until next Saturday. Pink Saturday was the very first Blog Party I joined on Jan. 30, 2010 and it was my second post on Debbie-Dabble. So please forgive me and please come back next Saturday to enter my Giveaway!

I started this post at 5:30 am so I could show you what I have been up to because today will also be a busy day as Joe is off and we are going to the Home Show at our Arena and I have work tonight.

I want to share with you all of my Pink Valentine's Day Decorations, starting with my PINK Dining Room Feather Tree which is Valentine's Tree # 2.

This is a feather tree that I bought in Bon Ton several years after after Christmas on Clearance.

Can you see the gold hearts hanging from the Chandy? Once again, Christmas ornaments!

My Buffet....

Some close ups...

The photo that is in the picture frame is of my maternal grand mother who is on the left and her cousin. Can you see that I resemble her a bit?

Now this is tree # 3 all decorated in pink and white for Valentine's Day....

Some heart boxes at the base which is wrapped in pink and white tulle.
Also there are pink and red heart lights on this tree with pink beaded garland.

I wanted to use the Pink LED lights that I bought after Christmas on this tree but when I went to add them to the white lights, I thought they looked lavender rather then pink when they were lit up so I decided against them, at least for this tree......

Close ups of some of the ornaments.....

I have a total of 5 trees decorated for Valentine's Day. That is because I am lazy! It is far easier for me to leave up some of the 14 trees that I decorated for Christmas and just re do them instead of having to take them down all at once.

Now I would like to show you some pinks in my Kitchen which is mostly decorated in red for Valentine's Day but that will be another post.

This is a little vignette that I put together on my desk in the Kitchen.
See the PINK heart bowl???

I was inspired by fellow bloggers to create a little Candy bar...

And I just had to add the little snowman holding up a heart....

Some PINK heart Cookie magnets on my oven hood....

And a Cookie Jar with PINK flowers on top of the refrigerator...

Back in the Dining Room....

Some Pink Hearts that I made....

And another pink heart from Micheal's....

My Birthday is Monday, Jan. 31st and I am working as usual.
Joe and the boys decided to celebrate my Birthday last evening since I was off.
We ordered Pizza and Stromboli and of course , cake!

Danielle, Jim and Joey as you go around the table....

I am not big on celebrating Birthdays and we usually just have a quiet small celebration with just the 5 of us.....

Yesterday, I packed up and closed my Vendor space in the Antique Co Op . They have raised the rent and also now are requiring vendors to be present for 6 hours of work a month or pay more money. I do not have the time to do that and since the majority of my items are under $20.00 , I would have to sell a lot to make any profit. And I must say that it was a lot of work and required more time than I was able to give to it since I already am working full time. I may return to selling some of my crafts on Ebay in the future.......

Right now my Craft/Sewing room is ripped apart because I am trying to fit one of the shelf units from my vendor space in there...

And I have to find the right place for this sweet 13 inch TV that Joe gave to me as one of my Birthday gifts.....

I wanted this for awhile as I can not fit a larger TV in my Craft Room and this will be just perfect!

Please stop back next Saturday for my Blog Anniversary Giveaway!!

Winter in North Eastern Penna.

Truly, I Do like Winter and the change of seasons here in Pennsylvania .

We have had some frigid temps. this season having hit a low of -6 degrees last week.
But we have been lucky with snow and have not had any major large snow storms. The ones that have been dumping huge amounts of snow have been missing us here in the Wyoming Valley of North Eastern Pa.

But the inches are piling up , with not much melting of snow and here is what my back yard looks like.........

Since this is our first year without a dog, our back yard is untouched as we no longer have to shovel out a pathway for the dog.

We are having temp's in the 30's now which is creating a lot of this.........

These are the icicles hanging off my awning in the back.

And these are the ones in the front of the house.......

They are dripping right onto my front sidewalk and that is fine during the day but when the temp's drop into the 20's at night, it makes for a very slippery situation. I almost took a flipper the other night when I was leaving for work as I stepped off the porch and onto the sidewalk.

Needless to say, we are now using a lot of Ice Melt until the gutters clear of ice and snow!!

Valentine's Day Tree #1 and the Living Room

I have finally finished decorating for Valentine's day !!!! And yes, you did read that right....Valentine's Day Tree # 1!

Last year I had 6 trees left up for V Day. This year I will have 5 .......
will explain later!

These are some Valentine's Day decorations on my front door. Did I ever tell you that I bought that pediment on top of the door for $3.00 at a yard sale???

It was painted white and chipping all over the place. I scraped and stripped it and stained it and then hung it!
And no, hubby did not do it, I did it! It was 2 different woods so it came out like I used 2 different stains!

Also, my front door is metal. I faux stained it wood on the inside and it is painted black on the outside to match the black shutters on the house.

A little vignette on my marble plant stand.....

A Valentine's Day Angel added ......

Red Velvet Rose garland with white and red lights on the stair rail......

This was Christmas ribbon along with the garland was bought at Target for 75% off several years ago.
It is embossed with a floral design and is gold on the back of the ribbon....

Same garland used above my cherub plaque....

Hearts hung on the side of each window divider......

More red velvet flowers......
These arrangements of red velvet rose and gold leaves were what I made to use as center pieces for our Church's Harvest tea when I did Nutcracker themed tables.....

A ceramic Heart shaped box....

Now this is the tree I had in the Living Room last year.

I decided it would be much easier on me to leave up the 7 foot tree that I used for Christmas in this room........

I will get back to the tree in a minute.....

A heart wreath I made and a cute plaque on my fake window...

More Valentine's Day things added to table tops.....

And I almost forgot the Hutch with more of that red velvet rose garland, red mercury candle votives and a Valentine's Day plaque.....

Now back to the tree....
I had a 7 foot tree in the Dining Room other years decorated with pink, white and red Valentine's Day goodies.
I decided to put all of my reds on this tree and make my DR tree pink and white ( will be in another post)

That piece of furry velvet like red fabric I have around the base I bought at a Thrift Shop for 70 cents!!!

I kept my Snow Man in his sled out, added some bears and heart boxes....

That is a Valentine's Day Big Tin behind the chair...

More Bears and a Heart Box on the chair......

Same lush Red Velvet Ribbon used for the bow on the tree....

There are red, clear and white lights ( all on one strand..Target several years ago), red beads and lots of red velvet roses on this tree!

The gold ball ornaments with the red hearts were bought a few years ago in Pier One after Christmas!
The big red Hearts are from Target after Christmas several years ago...

Those gold glittered angels or cherubs were from Micheal's a few years ago for 90 % off for about 20 cents a piece!!
The tin heart ornaments are from the Christmas tree Shop last year for $1.00 each!!

Well, that is my Living Room decorated for Valentine's Day!
You do not have to spend a lot of money to decorate for different holidays and seasons. You need only your imagination!!
