Joe's been on a lucky streak.
Then the next day he went to the casino with his weekly free play and won $2000!!
That is the most he has ever won at one time at The Mohegan Sun Casino at Pocono Downs which is 5-10 minutes away from us!! It will be used to pay taxes....
Surely , he must have stepped in something delivering the mail!!
LOL!!
He picked up these cute candles for me at one of the shops at the casino!
And aren't those names perfect for me? Vintage Lace and Victorian Bouquet!!
Can you see the picture of the lace doily on the lids....
Slowly, I have been taking down Winter and Valentine's Day decorations. I am still dealing with these IBS symptoms and there are times that I could just scream! Sorry, I am trying to keep it real... But I have had 3 good days in a row now so this is encouraging to me. I am still waiting for the results of my Ultrasound of the Thyroid.....
I can't believe it is March already. Feb. just flew by probably because it was an endless parade of Dr. visits and tests.
But enough of that....
This is my fake mantle in my Guest Room......
This room is back to "normal" now that the Christmas decorations are all put away. I did leave up those hot pink snowflakes because I love the pop of color they provide.
Some other changes in the Guest Room.....
All things Christmas are gone and my little Tea Table is back again....
And this is my new Header picture....
I think it sort of screams Spring which will be here soon....
If you would like to see my entire Guest Room, please click HERE
Also today, I am going to share with you my collection of Blue and White and Red and White Transferware.
First up are some of my Tea Cups and Saucers.....
Love the different patterns....This is another one that was a giveaway at a Local Department Store....
I have only been able to snatch up 2 sets in red and white. I do have 8 sets in blue and white.....
All of my pieces have been bought at yard sales, flea market and estate sales for only a few Dollars !!
I have taken the Winter Skaters out of my China Cupboard in the Den and put the Transferware back in....
Now this is what it looked like in October......See this wonderful soup tureen ......
And this cute pitcher......
Well, I have no idea where the heck they are!!!
Well, I have no idea where they are. I have searched the attic and so far nothing. They may be under our stairs in the little storage area there.
Well, anyway, this is what the hutch looks like now.....
A Few Close ups....
And these are some other pieces that I didn't have room for in the cupboard....
Don't you just love all the different patterns??????
And some different blue and whites......
Love these figurines that I have on a table out in the Den.... And you know me......
I left the string of lights and the battery operated candles in the cupboard and I Love how it looks lit up.....
As soon as the weather breaks and I can open windows or even move this cupboard outside, I will be painting it. I have been toying with the idea for some time and I am going to paint it a nice cream color and decoupage music sheets inside of it.
But that might not happen for some time as we had snow, sleet and then rain yesterday so Winter is still pretty much with us here in Pa.
I want to THANK Holly over at 504 Main for choosing my post about

Hi Debbie,
I'm loving your cabinet all decorated with the Transferware and the lights.
I did a give-away on my old blog of the very same Blue/White transferware as the first Teacup/Saucer picture you posted...quite a while ago.
And...I'm doing a Give-Away (http://allwaysdesigning.blogspot.com/2012/03/i-know-im-short.html) on my NEW Blog right now - please stop by for a visit!!
~Blessings,
Jan
You've been busy! Love the transfer ware!!
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!! Have a great Pink Saturday!
That is wonderful. Winning at any casino is very hard. That definitely had to be his lucky day or found the right machine at the right time. I never have been so lucky. At least, he thought of you to bring you those cute candles.
Woo-hoo! Good win! Love to see cupboard when you are finished with it, Deb.
I hope you will pop by to help us bring 'angel love' for a young girl who is sick.
Thank you.
Have a beautiful PS weekend ~
Marydon
Your dishes are so well displayed in your cupboard and can't wait to see its makeover in warmer weather. Sounds like luck is in store at your house! That's wonderful news. Fun candles too. Take care.
Spring is on its way (even if we have another winter storm headed our way this evening in MI).
Your transferware is making me swoon! It's absolutely heavenly. Happy Pink Saturday. :)
Hi Debbie,
Your cupboard of transfer ware looks beautiful.I love Chrissie decorations....but it's so nice when the house goes back to 'tranquil' again.
Hope your health improves.
God Bless

So glad to hear you've been having some good days with your health.
I love the tea table and wish I had one similar in my guest room. No room unfortunately. So, I'll just get my fix by looking at yours!
Hugs to you! Kim
Hi Debbie,
I love your new header! The tea scene looks so inviting with all the pinks. Love all your transferware too. I only have a few pieces. Wish I would have started collecting them years ago.
Hope you are feeling better and thanks for sharing.

Oh Debbie, I thought about you when I posted my home tour, I am such a minimalist and not a lot to hold a persons interest like yours LOL Glad you are starting to feel better and that you are not independently wealthy LOL!

Love all your new decorating, so springy and beautiful. Debbie my family knows the pain you are going through with IBS. Tammy has it, I have a mild case and my son has Ulcerative colitis. They told him for years it was IBS also.

Also, I wanted to say, I read your post below about your father and I am very sure my father knew your dad in WWII. My family is from PA and I when he was with us, I am sure he mentioned your dad's name. What a small world. My dad passed in 98 at 75.
We have wonderful memories and what a gift, right?
Blessings to you my friend.

Anyhoo, I love all of your lovely pretties I am praying for all that are in the tornado paths. I live in Branson, MO and we got hit hard, but nobody lost lives praise God. I hope you are doing well and you are taking care of yourself! Blessings and love sent your way! Big squishy hugs,

Debbie...I am so sorry that you have been so under the weather. My prayers are with you.
Wow that is fantastic about your husbands wins. I personally don't gamble but my neighbor does and she has some tales to tell. And she has done really well at some of the casinos when she goes to Reno. Its nice when you can make some extra money like that especially for taxes. (smile) The candles are quite pretty and look like they would go nicely in your home. Love the transferware. I have a bit myself and love each and every piece.
Do hope you get to feeling better Debbie.
HUgs,
Nann
