I hope all of you have had a great week!!
First off, I want to wish my Hubby, Joe, a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY on Friday, August 17th!
We will be having a little pizza party with the kids coming over . We enjoy having them over....
Blogging News......
For the time being, I have decided to cut back on my posts to once a week for both my blogs, this one and my Christmas blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas.
By the beginning of September, a busy time of year will be starting for me with Fall and Halloween decorating, wreaths that I have orders for and making crafts for my upcoming Craft Fairs that I do November.
Joe and I are also on vacation for the first 2 weeks of October and we may be doing some one day trips along with a lot of seasonal things we have to do around the house.
So I will be posting here on Debbie-Dabble once a week on Thursday mornings. I plan on including everything that went on for the entire week from crafting to decorating to shopping and my garden update.
It will be easier for me to work on the post for the entire week when I get time and not be too stressed out by posting.
So each post will be up for a week and you can stop by whenever you get the time to spend with me!!
Hopefully, this will allow me to spend more time visiting with all of you!
Sound good?
And now for what I have been up to last week........
You may remember in my last post that I left you with a bit of a "tease".
We will get to that in a minute but first I want to THANK all of you for your best wishes for our Anniversary this past Sunday.
Joe bought me a dozen beautiful roses!!
Splash, splash!
For the time being, I hung a Beach wreath that I made in the Living Room on the large mirror....
So it just has white lights on it for now....
If you missed that post, please click HERE.
This is what I bought at Half Price Day at Volunteer's of America........
This cute little wicker suitcase that I am sure once held a set of picnic dishes.....
I have several pieces of this set of dishes but only 2 dinner plates. Now I have 3....
I love to use this set around Christmas time because the scenes on it remind me of a Dicken's Village, don't you think?
" Believe... Amazing Grace... How sweet the Sound"
All of that for a mere $4.18 at half price!!
WHOA!!
I then picked up this cute red wagon at Salvation Army for $3.99....
and 2 more items....
It was $3.99
And now on to what I did with these things...
My upstairs is divided in 2 parts. The front half is my bedroom which is as large as the living Room, 16' x 20'!!
And the other back half of the upstairs is the hallway, 2 small bedrooms and the bathroom.
What the builder's were thinking of when they designed our townhomes, I have no idea!
You have not seen my much of my upstairs bathroom before because it is too hard to photograph since it is so small and with my 2 sons using it all the time, I was never able to have it looking " Pretty"!!
So last weekend when I had 3 days off, I decided to change that.....
Here is what it looked like before with everything taken out of it......
That is it.....
SMALL is not the word....
maybe TINY is a better term for it!!!
I discovered that the deep tan color that I used on the top half of the walls in my Den was a perfect match to the new border which I bought at a flea market about 2-3 years ago for $10.00 for 4 rolls made by Croscill !!!!!
I painted the walls above the tub standing on this step stool and then I papered the walls standing on a slightly larger step stool in the tub!!!
My poor arthritic knees have been screaming for days now!!!
LOL!
So here are the walls freshly painted and I still have about 1/3 of the can of paint left......
To the Ceiling!!!!
Here is a pic looking in at the finished bathroom.....
This is the wall to the left behind the door......
LOL!!
So you are either have to be sitting on the toilet or in the tub!!!
HA HA HA!!!
I went to Kohl's and these towels and the rugs , which you will see shortly, were on sale plus I had a 15% off coupon and a $10.00 off card for a $10.00+ purchase.
I spent a total of only $65.00 for the towels and rugs!!
So I sewed on new beads that I already had and use for my crafts and a matching gimp trim.....
I had bought this tablecloth several years ago at Boscov's Department store for $10.00.
Now there was already some yardage cut off of it but I had enough to make a valance, along with some other things, and the fabric matched the new border !!
I have had this shelf unit above the toilet for many years....
I still like the look of it....
I almost fell backwards in to the tub doing this!!!
LOL!
Her soaps are just wonderful and very fragrant so the whole bathroom smells of lavendar!!
Joe used to get up at 5 am then to get ready for work so he also used the downstairs Powder Room so he would not wake the boys.
The Powder Room became our bathroom and the upstairs one, became the boy's bathroom.
Now that the boy's have moved out, I was able to reclaim the upstairs bathroom and I now have a "Pretty" Bathroom!!!
And with all the redecorating that I did in this bathroom, it only cost me about $100 - $ 125!!
I used a lot of what I already had at home. The new towels, rugs and the bath accessories are what cost most of the money.....
I am off now for 3 nights and the temps. here are supposed to only be in the 70's with low's in the 50's!!
Heaven to my ears!!
I will be starting to make some of my wreaths and crafts for the Fall and Halloween and for my upcoming Craft Fairs. I will also be catching up with some house work and enjoying the cooler temps.
And I will be soaking those screaming knees of mine in my tub, gazing around at my "Pretty" Bathroom!!
I hope this coming week is a great week for all of you and I will see you next week!!

Hi Debbie, I adore the new look to your powder room! The covered tissue box is pretty, and your new border - stunning! Love the angel and transferware plate too.
Enjoy your days off and your upcoming vacation!
Beth
It looks lovely! I love how you used the wallpaper border on the ceiling, too. I would have never have thought to do that. :)
My sweet friend!
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! What you did. You took a tiny space and gave it so much Victorian charm. I really love what you did with the border...esp on the ceiling!
Enjoy you new room!

Such a pretty feminine bathroom. You must really enjoy using it now. The border is a very pretty touch. I'm definitely anxious for fall decorating, but tree also sits bare in our sunroom. Have a wonderful weekend celebrating your hubby's birthday!

Debbie,
First of all wish Joe a very happy birthday!
Im glad you to had a wonderful dinner at home for your anniversary. The roses he chose are beautiful!
I was almost certain from your tease we were going to see a bathroom makeover and I LOVE it! The colors are so pretty! Before we remodeled our bathroom a couple weeks ago, ours was basically the exact same size as yours, so I can relate!
Only you would have thought to put the border on the ceiling! What a brillant idea and I think thats what really makes it Victorian! Your rugs, towels and accessories are the perfect match to everything! Guess where you can find an exact replica of your medicine cabinet.....uh huh, in my bathroom! Identical!!!! That too is on my "to buy" list!
Enjoy your days off and the wonderful temps you are having. I cannot wait to get in the 50s and 70`s here in TN! It was 90 today!!!!
Talk to you soon!
Lynn :)
Hi Debbie! Wow! I should say that it is definitely a pretty bathroom! I totally LOVE what you did with the border! It is beautiful on the ceiling! Good idea with the mouth wash in the wine decanter! I might have to steal that idea from you!
Have a great weekend! Gina
A belated Happy Anniversary to you...A happy birthday to Joe!

Wow Debbie,
I was still salivating from the post on the gorgeous dishes; I'm a blue/white collector! Now I'm blown over with your makeover of this tiny bathroom, definitely took it to the next level! I especially love the valance you created for the curtains, lovely! If you have time, I'd love if you'd share it at Frugal Treasures going on through Sunday evening. Enjoy your weekend.

Happy Anniversary!
My word, I'm speechless! You have been so busy - and what a result. The bathroom is like the palace at Versailles - I think you'd have a hard time making anyone leave, lol.
Happy Pink Saturday!
Your bathroom is so charming, Debbie, And you gave me an idea that I can hang a shower curtain even if there is already a shower door. My mom's bathroom has one and I hate the looks. Great finds on your thrifting and have fun on your mini bloggy break and all your projects!...Christine
Awwww, this is adorable! Happy Pink Saturday!
Hugs,
Olivia

Hi Debbie! Oh, my! Your bathroom looks so beautiful! The extra wallpaper border you used looks wonderful and on the ceiling too! You really do know how to add pretties and it all looks marvelous. sounds like you're going to be really busy for a while and we all need to cut back on postings sometimes. I did that a while back and even stopped going to the linky parties, but I'm slowly coming back! :)
Thanks for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Love what you did with the little bathroom. The colors are lovely. I too like to shop at Kohl's when I have those $10. discounts. The border is so pretty, a very pretty make over.

Hi Debbie,
What a fabulous makeover you did to your bathroom. I adore green and purple together and your border with all the accents are stunning. I know it must have been tricking working in a small space, but you did wonderful. Love the tissue holder and kleenex box too. Love the border paper on the ceiling too with the border you already had there.
Gorgeous!!
Thank you for stopping by and your kind comment. Have a great week and fun creating your wreath and getting ready for your November show.
Your anniversary roses are gorgeous.
XO Celestina Marie
You know your my first repeat "Viewers Choice" award - your a star. I think that blue plates gave you a leaping start! Love what you did with you bathroom, so pretty now. But I think our bathroom is smaller than yours, you literally step in, sit down and do business, stand up and wash hand, steps out an leave. I would kill for a larger bathroom. Yours is so pretty! Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration with Sunday’s Best – you helped make the party a success!

Hi Debbie...Well my GOSH, you sure made that into an absolutely adorable bathroom....love all the purple touches. GREAT JOB and thanks for sharing.
Thanks, too, for visiting my blog and commenting, too. Great to have you stop by. Susan
Hi honey
So much to comment on I don't know where to begin.
I guess with wishing your sweet hubby a belated Happy Birthday and to both of you congrats on your special anniverary.
You must teach me how to add so many photo's to a post. Honey I am lucky to get three on mine and that takes me hours. How long does it take you to do a post like this.
I too am not able to post much more than a post a week it is just too much going on out here to take care of.
Your bathroom redo turned out lovely. I hate to say it but my bath is even smaller than yours and not fixed up with all your pretties either. Just a plain Jane.
Hope you enjoy your new bath and
that you have a gorgeous week.
Love
Maggie
