I really LOVE color and RED is one of my favorites......
Especially in the Kitchen!!
I would like to share with you what my Kitchen looks like now that all the Christmas decorations have been packed away.....
Well, not all....
Some stay out and are re-decorated....
I already showed you the little Winter vignette I created in the corner by the Hutch with an Alpine Tree and some Birds and Bird Houses..........
Please click HERE if you missed it.....
A few posts ago, I showed you all of the great buys that Joe and I snagged after Christmas and several of the things that we bought are now in their places in the Kitchen....
And I do have a few Valentine vignettes in the Kitchen also....
After all, the Kitchen is RED!! And great for decorating for several Holidays through out the year....
I always put together a Sweet Bar for each Holiday here on the Hutch......
First , let me show you Big Red.....
I had a red Trash Can but Joe found this one on sale in Target....
Bigger and better so he says....LOL!
Okay, back to the Hutch.....
I decided that since Valentine's Day gifts traditionally were candy and desserts, I would decorate with the same......
I have my little jars filled with Valentine's candy. Remember the red, pink and white candy corn bought at The Christmas Tree Shop? And Sweet Hearts from The Dollar Tree....
Also see one of the cup cake dishes that I bought at the CTS?????
The cookies are actually refrigerator magnets. I used to have them on my range hood but with the new ceramic top stove, I am afraid that if they fell off the hood, they would crack the stove top and that would be just my luck.....
The "cookies" are on a red heart plate placed on top of a vintage plate.......
A tea cup full of lollipops!!
The 2 tins( one on each side) were also bought on Clearance.....
Now I just have to keep Joe away from all the candy.....
And this is what the Kitchen looks like now.......
As you can see, I have my Valentine's Day towels and pot holders out.....
I love the pops of Red.......
The 2 little crocheted heart magnets on the hood are something I made many moons ago when I used to crochet.
I know they won't crack the stove top if they fall.......
Yes, there is a dish drainer on the counter because I do not have a dish washer......
No Wait!!
Yes, I do..........his name is Joe!! LOL!!
Some day I will get new butcher block style counter tops and a new hard wood floor....
You know I always decorate where the original Kitchen window was....
And still treat the space as if it was a window....
I left up the evergreen garland and added heart ornaments to it.....
I added rose vines and hearts to the Chandy.....
The vintage rose pot holders are perfect for Valentine's Day....
See the snow tipped tea lights on the Chandy.....
Joe bought them on Clearance last year in Bed, Bath and Beyond!!!
Did you know that Bed, Bath and Beyond owns the Christmas Tree Shop stores????
See the ornament hanging from the center of the Chandy.....
It is from my sis, Barb.....
"Sisters by Fate, Friends by Choice" and Barb and Deb are written on the 2 hearts!!
The window was taken out when we made the patio into another room , the Den, many years ago.....
See the new toaster that was in a previous post?????
The toaster still reminds me of a race car... I guess because it is so shiny.....
And that is a wire tea cup filled with flowers and lights in the corner.....
You can see that I do not have a lot of counter space.....
I wish I did but not for cooking.......
For decorating of course!!!
Remember the little red shelf that was marked down from $15.00 to $6.99?????
I used it for my Tea and Coffee Center......Well, mostly Tea.....
I had the smaller Campbells mugs but just bought the Campbells Soup mugs at the CTS for $1.99.....
They are great for storing Tea Bags and Tea accessories like strainers for loose leaf tea....
I got a kick out of this picture because look at the reflection from the mirrored Coca Cola picture on the ceiling!!!
LOL!!
A few Hearts on top of the Refrigerator......
See my Tea Pot Lamp from the CTS????? I love it!!
I still have to Dabble with the lamp shade.....
Now what's better than a Snow Man Angel carrying a Heart?????
And a basket of apples too!!!
LOL!!!
Isn't he cute? He was a gift from a friend!
See the new red microwave??
Actually , we had to take the first one back because it would start by itself!!
Yikes!!
I thought it was possessed!!
Do you see that I hung the 2 valances that were 2 for $3.00 at, where else, the CTS!!
I also have a matching runner....
Again, I left the evergreen garland up and hung more Heart ornaments from this one too!
The bottle brush trees were bought several years ago on Clearance at Target. They had the red bows and birds on them but I added the hearts and use them for Valentine's Day decorations.....
And those are vintage red rose doilies on top of the red mercury glass candlesticks.....
The Valentine runner came from the CTS.......
And that is what my kitchen looks like now with some Valentine's Day and Winter decorations and some of the things that we bought after Christmas......
I think I made good use of my recent purchases.......
But this is the how I love to see my kitchen.....
In the evening or early morning with all the ambient lights on.......
It warms my heart and soul.....
And makes me smile......
Okay, it was day time when I took these pictures.....
You can see the day light from the Den windows....
I hope you enjoyed my little tour of my Kitchen after the Christmas decorations have been put away.....
It will stay decorated for like this until the end of February.
If you missed my previous post about my Valentine Tree in the Den.......

Soon, I will share my PINK Valentine's Day Tree and other Valentine decorations in my Dining Room with you so I hope you will come back and visit again......

I love all your reds. Your kitchen is so cheery!! You have so many fun Valentine goodies. After work, your sweethearts box ornament is heading your way!
Wow, you weren't kidding! hard to say which I like the best-est, it's all pretty and RED! I spy a scale, which I'm working on something to sit atop of mine. I can see why you chose JOY as your 2013 word. It looks so JOYful in your kitchen ;-)
Debbie,

Oh my GOODNESS, you do a great job.
And that red trash can? Loved it!
Thanks for all your visits to my blog, too. Always love when you stop by. Susan
I love red too. The hutch with red drawers is really cute. Love the red microwave and heart potholders and really great idea with the cookie fridge magnets on a plate.
Someone recently said I was becoming the queen of red, but I think you wear the crown! What an absolutely amazing kitchen, it's like ... so cute, so adorable, so fascinating, so interesting, so red!!! I love it, would just love to see it in person but I'd just stand there with my mouth open, in awe. Thanks so much for sharing!

Hi Debbie! Oh, I love all of you red and I love your happy kitchen! It's just amazing seeing all of your wonderful collection. I don't think there's anything you don't have! :)
Thanks for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Sitting on my RED sofa reading about your amazing kitchen! - Puts me in the Valentine's Day mood for sure!
Dear Debbie:
I just want to say that I read your blog every time you post something.
I have a ritual of a cuppa coffee, sitting down and just love to look at how you decorate, plus the great money you save. I thought that I was alone in the style that you so love. Just a note to say how looking at your home gives me the inspiration to go forward in trying to find a new home of our own. I am just fixing and redoing items as we wait till to find the one house God has for us. I can't wait to use some of your ideas.
Have a great week.

Red is such a happy colour and your kitchen is a fun and whimsical space. My grandchildren's eyes would be as big as saucers if they saw your candy bar; very cute! My hubby has trouble leaving the candy alone too. Must be all the fresh air they get while out on their beats! Thanks for coming to tea and have a super day, Debbie.
Blessings,
Sandi
Wow, I love your kitchen all decked out for Valentine's! Your heart collection is amazing. Thanks so much for sharing at A Bouquet of Talent. :)
Hugs
Kathy
What a lovely visit for Rednesday. My senior mom and I especially enjoyed the bird house decoration. Thank you.
Forget Disneyland - YOUR kitchen is the happiest place on earth! Love it allllllll.
Hi Debbie, All your red decor is wonderful! I can't believe you even found a red microwave. The Valentine decorations are lovely too. I always appreciate you linking to the Open House party.
xx, Sherry
Debbie, You are the Queen of Valentine's Day. So many pretty collectibles. Wow!! Love them all! Thanks so much for sharing this inspiring post at Simple & Sweet Fridays. Have a wonderful weekend!
Jody
Wow Debbie! What a cheerful kitchen! I can see why it makes you so happy. I thought those cookies were real!! I was ready to pour a cup of tea and reach into my screen to grab one. LOL! I spy a few things that I would like in my own kitchen. Thanks for sharing.
Loving your red kitchen, and so want your red microwave, ours just broke, so did the dishwasher so Mr. Charmer is back to doing dishes like your Joe. They got something in common :)
You sure know how to decorate girl! Makes me want a red kitchen, but my cabinets are darker and wouldn't pop as well as your red and white look.
RED. I love red. I used to have a wall in the dining room that was red before we put the addition on. Your place is so darn CUTE. Can't say enough about it either! Nice. Take care, Linda
Your candy bar is too cute, Debbie! I love red too. Thanks for sharing this at my HOME and have a wonderful week, my friend.
Blessings,
Sandi
